Helpful Sites for Teachers

Very cool website that has a variety of free songs and videos available for all grade levels.  I particularly like the Week in Rap which is a weekly run-down of current events.  These are all aligned to CCCS.  There is even more available with a subscription but there is also a good amount available for free.  The lyrics to the raps are printable and many have additional links to research further.  The kids really do enjoy it!

Khan Academy

Incredible website with a wide variety of tutorials focusing on math and science. Links to YouTube video clips to explain concepts.

Alternative presentation product to PowerPoint.  Zoom in and out of your text and pictures and get creative!  Great option for student projects.

Very useful site with video clips and the ability to create your own unique lessons based around the clip.

Thousand of well organized free videos to use in the classroom.  Some are hosted by YouTube and therefore not currently viewable in school.  This will hopefully change once we have access to YouTube.  Still lots of helpful videos available.

Word Art

Really fun and easy to use website for creating word clouds.
