Third Grade Expectations

Below you will find the Learning Expectations that we anticipate following in Third Grade. This page was created with both students and parents in mind. Please know that there will be adjustments as we work to best meet the needs of our students and class. If there are any questions, please contact your teacher for help.

Turning in Work

-Must be submitted by the deadline posted in Google Classroom or written in student planners
-Make sure you always complete your work to the best of your ability

Missing Work

-Check your work in Google Classroom - Make sure you “Turn In” your work 
-Use your student planner to keep track of assignments
Parents will be notified on an as-needed basis

Google Meet Expectations (if virtual)

-Be on time
-Mute your microphone
Listen to the speaker 
Raise your hand (just like you are in class!). 
Participate- always share your ideas in a respectful way
Be dressed and seated in an appropriate space.  (Please no pajamas.)
Have supplies ready before joining
Avoid eating snacks 
Stay in one spot

Google Meet Attendance

What do I do if I miss a Google Meet?
This should be avoided unless there is an emergency.  
If this happens often, parents and Mr. Galasso will be notified and your grade may be affected.

Parent Communication/Expectations

-Please use the email provided by your child’s teacher and we will make every effort to respond within 24 hours. If you have not received a response after 24 hours, please send a follow-up email.

-Support with navigation and trying to find an assignment
-Encourage your child to try his/her best 
Encourage your child to reread directions 
Encourage your child to email or ask the teacher for help

Please do not:
-Tell your child answers or what to write
-Solve problems for him/her
