Classroom representatives to the Highland School Bee are selected by earning one of the top two scores on the bee spelling test for their grade level during the month of December.
The Highland School Spelling Bee is scheduled for the end of January and will be held in the Media Center. Only the classroom representatives will be in attendance. Highland's champion represents our school at the Scripps North Jersey Spelling Bee in March held at Bergen Community College in Paramus, NJ. Students from Bergen and Passaic Counties up to 8th grade compete and the winner of the North Jersey Spelling Bee goes on to the national finals in Washington, D.C.
