Environmentally Friendly Holiday Tips:

  1. Turn off holiday lights and decorations when you go to sleep.
  2. Take reusable bags to the store.  Plastic bags very rarely get recycled.  If you do use plastic bags, make sure you collect them and bring them to the local supermarket to be recycled.
  3. Use reusable gift bags instead of wrapping paper.  Re-use wrapping paper from large gifts.
  4. Lower the thermostat in your house a few degrees, especially when everyone is sleeping.
  5. Shop online or try to get all your shopping done in one trip.  You can also help support the MPPEF by going to their site and clicking on the Amazon link. www.mppef.org
  6. At home make sure you are recycling everything that you can.  (Paper, cardboard, glass, plastic, aluminum, metal)
