Teaching is a work of heart

Hello! My name is Kristen Conners. I truly enjoy being a member of the Midland Park community. I am teaching in multiple grades this year. Part of this includes teaching pull-out resource classes for the subjects of reading and writing. See below for a few important details that may help with any questions you may have.
The expectation is that students come to class each day prepared with their materials and ready to learn.I ask students to try their best and be respectful of peers and adults surrounding them.
In regard to homework, students write down what they have to do every night in their planners. Their planners are then checked by an adult. Students are expected to complete assignments and make up any work that they may have missed. For missed assignments, there will be points deducted. In addition, a pink slip will be sent home after a warning is given. Students will have their parent sign the slip and return it along with their missing homework assignment. It is important students do not make it a habit of missing their homework assignments.
Here are some useful links that your child can use at home to practice skills that they need to: https://www.ixl.com/signin/midlandpark (great for all subjects)
https://www.sadlierconnect.com/gw (great for grammar practice)

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me at my email address found above.
If your child is struggling with a particular concept, I can be available on Tuesday for 3rd-grade students, and Wednesday for 4th-grade students until 3:15 PM. Arrangements must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
