This is my 11th year teaching Computers here in Midland Park. A lot has changed since then and it continues to change for the better. The computer lab will be moving upstairs to a great new classroom at some point during this school year. I'm very much looking forward to the change of scenery!
The Internet is a valuable resource for our students and an integral part of many of their lives. It is important to know however, that just like in the real world, there are dangers associated with it. It is important to discuss with the children what some of these dangers are and how to use the Internet responsibly. There are links on the left side of this page that can help start a discussion about some ground rules and how children can stay safe when they are online.
I do not often assign homework for Computers, but at times students need to make up work missed for absences, band, or not completing it during class time. I expect students to come to class with a folder, notebook, and a pencil. Due to the fact that I only meet with most classes once a week it is crucial that they put forth their best effort in class and their grades will reflect this. A good way to check on when assignments may be due for your child is to log in to their Google Classroom account.
